About Me.
Hi! I’m Vanessa, founder of Unscrambled Minds. I am a Coaching Psychologist (not a therapist), mentor and mum to two boys who are AuADHD. My first born now aged 19yrs (also known as the ‘Boy Wonder’) was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 4 (unofficially) and 6 (officially) and my little guy now aged 11 (also known as the ‘Old Soul’) was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 7.
I have a bachelors in Applied Psychology and a masters in the Psychology and Neuroscience of mental health, which aids in the understanding of the Psychology and neuroscience of ADHD.
I want to reach out to adults diagnosed with ADHD, or those who suspect they have ADHD and the parents, partners, co-workers, bosses and everyone who lives with or works with a person with ADHD. I work with Rejection Sensitivity, Executive Function and Emotional Dysregulation to support the deeper underpinning of ADHD in an organic way. I don’t push working models and strategies that are misleading, but have designed my own definitions and models that work with ADHD acceptance. I believe with the right environments and the right scaffolding a person with ADHD can thrive.
